Worship and Music

Praise Band

God has given each one of us gifts and talents so that we might serve and worship Him here on earth.

The Worship and Music Ministry Team invites you to be involved in the life of Columbia through the many groups and opportunities hlist below. You may feel that the last thing you can do at the end of an exhausting day is to attend a music rehearsal at church, but — imagine leaving that time feeling energized, refreshed and fulfilled. The times of fellowship, prayer and making music serve to fill your heart with God's presence.

  • Sanctuary Choir – provides traditional, classical and contemporary music on most Sundays, September through early June.
  • Joybell Ringers – Columbia's bell choirs are growing.
  • Youth Choir – is made up of high school students who love singing contemporary music that ministers. They sing frequently in worship, and reach out through a choir tour in May.
  • Children's Choir – is open to children in grades 2 through 5. They rehearse once a week during the school year.
  • Special Music – opportunities are available in worship for those who feel the call to share their gifts through an instrumental or vocal performance.
  • Worship Teams – Columbia uses contemporary worship teams for both the 8 and 11 am services.
  • Other Opportunities – Please consider serving as:
    • an usher or greeter
    • assisting with the sound and video systems
    • flower arranging, banners or sanctuary décor
