Summer Adult Spiritual Formation  —  Sunday Mornings

At 9:00,

• LifeKeys will meet in the Chapel.  

Using a variety of resources, the LifeKeys class helps individuals discover their talents, gifts and values in order to  “ … find your place in God’s work.” (CPC purpose statement). 

At 10:30,

• Church History in Plain Language will continue the study of the significant events in Christian history, meeting in the Chapel.  New students are welcome!
   
• There is also a class on Prayer, using a Philip Yancey DVD and other resources. 

This class is part of our SUMMER OF PRAYER focus at CPC, and will meet in the Cascade Fellowship Hall.

Summer Prayer Opportunity  —  Sunday mornings at 8 AM

• Join us in the library for the pre-Church prayer meeting.
• Pray with us for our church, its ministry, its mission and your own concerns. 
• All are welcome

Also, the sanctuary is open for quiet prayer and reflection on Wednesdays until 9pm during the summer.

Weekend Seminar
— October 22–24

Columbia will be hosting a weekend seminar by Dr. Jerry Sittser, Professor of Theology and Department Chair, at Whitworth University. Jerry is a gifted teacher and friend of many Whitworth students and alumni. He will be speaking on Friday, October 22 and Saturday morning, October 23, as well as preaching on Sunday, October 24. Save these dates for a memorable weekend of learning!

Cancer Retreat for Women  —  October 25-27
at the Menucha Retreat & Conference Center

Susan Hedlund will facilitate this retreat for women with cancer.  It is designed to be a time of renewal, shared journeying, encouragement and support.

Sixth Presbytery Mission Trip  
—  to Gulf Coast  —  October 11-18

Five years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, there is still much work to be done to rebuild homes, lives and communities impacted by disasters in South Louisiana. The group from Cascades Presbytery has space for 55 people, age 19 and over.  No special construction skills are required.
