Ellen Torongo was a charter member of Columbia Presbyterian Church and a life-long educator.
The Presbyterian Women and individual donors sponosor three scholarships in her honor:
- #1 Women over 30 returning for edcuation/training
- #2 Graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students of single parents,
both involved in Columbia
- #3 1st generation undergraduate students whose parents did not complete college
and the applicant has been involved with Columbia Church
Additional detailed information is included with the application forms. Applications are due to the church office by March 1.

- Through two spiritual practices, lectio divina (meditative reading) and inductive Bible study, we will concentrate on 4 passages in Luke.
- All women of the church are encouraged to join us.
