Columbia Presbyterian Church
Adult Faith Formation

At Columbia Presbyterian Church, we encourage each person to enter into a life-changing and ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.  The Adult Ministry Team comes alongside to nurture adults in that life journey, with the goal of maturity in Christ:  “We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28)
For a comprehensive look at all the classes, seminars and retreats we offer, please check the GROWING@CPC page.

 Sunday Morning

10:30am in the Chapel
The Learners' Exchange
An ongoing weekly opportunity to explore new ideas and to share discussion time together. A blessing for both mind and heart! Meet in the Chapel each Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30. See you there, and bring your friends and visitors!

What does it mean to grow up in Christ? Have you felt a longing for Spiritual growth but didn’t quite know where to turn? Jesus said “Come follow me…my sheep hear my voice…I am the vine, you and the branches…as the Father has sent me, I send you…”
DiscipleSHIFT is an 8-week interactive learning experience
oriented around living a Jesus-shaped life.
¨ how to meet God in the Scriptures
¨ the two critical questions a follower of Jesus asks every day
¨ the shape of Jesus’ life
¨ the most important truth to embrace about who you are
¨ why the old way of being church has to change
¨ encouragement and support from others on the journey
¨ tools for living life with God that are practical, memorable, and transformational
Finally a vehicle to help followers of Jesus move from a spectator or office holder to an active daily interaction with the living Lord.
Who is leading it?
DiscipleSHIFT is facilitated by a teaching team which consists of Pastor Geordie Ziegler, Allan Johnston, Trish Johnston, and Nancy Bishoprick. Discussion times are facilitated by trained table leaders who have been through the experience previously and experienced personal growth and change as a result.
If you are interested in being part of The DiscipleShift Experience, next time it is offered, fill out this form.

Tim's Bible Club

The New Year is here and you are invited to join Tim Mauer and friends as they read the Bible together in 2018.
Tim has made a new reading list this year.  As before, there will be an Old Testament and New Testament reading each day.  New this year will   include a Psalm every other day.  Also new is a reduced Old Testament reading list to lighten the amount to read each day.  Sundays are a day off to rest or get caught up.
Whether you’ve never read with us, or have joined every year, please join with us in 2018 to meet with God every day and get to know Him better through reading His Word.
Back by popular demand – the daily readings will be available on the CPC app!
If you are interested in joining the club, please sign up in the Gathering Area, or contact Tim Mauer   directly by phone (360-910-7048), or email   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. And remember our motto -
“We don’t have any meetings or committees - we just read the Bible.”

Spiritual Renewal Conference

September 21-23, 2018
Jerry Sittser cropped compressed
This year we are privileged to welcome Jerry Sittser. Many of you will recognize Jerry as the author of the outstanding book, The Will of God as a Way of Life, which was featured as our sermon series in the fall of 2017.

Jerry is a professor of theology at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington and the author of many books, including the best-seller, A Grace Disguised: How the Soul Grows through Loss (about the death of his mother, wife, and his young daughter in a tragic car accident, and Jerry’s journey through loss to a new life) and, Water from a Deep Well. As a part of Whitworth’s Office of Church Engagement, Jerry also facilitates a course entitled, “The Third Way,” from which much of his content this weekend will be drawn.
Jerry has a unique ability to communicate deep and unashamed truth with great compassion and grace, through foundations of history, experience, and Scripture.
We are thrilled to have Jerry with us again this year!
This year we offer 2 registration options.
